How is rent determined?

Your rent is based on your income.  Senior citizens can use out-of-pocket medical expenses as deductions before rent is calculated.  Some people may qualify for deductions, such as childcare, head of household disability expenses, and medical expenses for the elderly.

How do you determine income?

Income is considered all monies that come into the household on a recurring basis from any source.  Potential income sources include such things as wages, unemployment assistance, child support, social security payments, disability payments, assistance from family or social service agencies, income from property, savings, or stocks & bonds.
